Last spring, the Province of B.C. approved a long-term lease covering about 17 hectares (42 acres) of the foreshore and issued an interim licence.
In November 2007, the SCRD granted third reading of by-law 337.79 to amend the zoning of the Property and the Lease area.
A description of the new zoning and the development concept is attached as Schedule “B” and a description and site plan for a preliminary development scheme are attached as Schedule “C”.

JIRS has secured an option to purchase 22.64 acres of oceanfront lands (the “Staging Area”) located about 6 kilometres south of the Property on the south shore of the inlet between Egmont and Earls Cove.
About 2 acres will be required to provide parking and other facilities to serve the resort development on the Property and the balance of the lands will be available for development or re-sale.
The purchase price for these lands, known as Moccasin Valley, is $2.5 million and the outside date for completing the transaction is March 31/09.
